Training in fundraising

Starting from 2024, the Foundation chose to actively support and enhance the fundraising skills of non-profit organizations in the Canton of Ticino. The aim is to provide them with the tools needed to better understand and define their fundraising needs, and to develop appropriate strategies and actions to ensure their long-term sustainability.

With this goal in mind, we offered a number of scholarships to allow Ticino-based non-profit organizations to attend Festival del Fundraising 2024, one of the most important sector events, held in Riccione from 3th to 5th June. These scholarships also included tailored support during the experience, aimed at analyzing each organization’s current fundraising strategy and identifying their specific fundraising goals, in order to help them select the most relevant training sessions offered during the Festival.

The initiative was highly appreciated by the participating organizations, who found value not only in the training sessions but also in the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with other participants, sparking potential synergies and future collaborations. In light of this positive feedback, we have decided to continue the initiative in 2025.

Given the project’s success, we also plan to expand training opportunities for local non-profits in 2025 by organizing free training programs—both individual and group-based—tailored to the needs and profiles of selected beneficiary organizations.
