This project explores the role of artificial intelligence as a driver of social and cultural innovation. The Foundation sees AI not only as an emerging technology, but as a tool capable of facilitating the exploration of emotions, stimulating new ideas, and generating fresh perspectives.
The initiative fosters a dialogue between artificial intelligence, art, and culture, through personalized experiences that bring people closer to these technologies in an accessible and mindful way. At its core lies the interaction between the individual and AI, with the aim of fostering greater familiarity with these tools, understanding their potential and limits, and developing a critical and informed use of them.
Within this framework, Luce was born – a project that integrates artificial intelligence into exhibition itineraries as an interactive “cultural guide”, capable of engaging in dialogue with visitors and personalizing their experience of the artworks. In 2025, conversations were initiated with museums and art spaces, providing an important opportunity for exchange and deeper reflection.
For the Foundation, the project also holds significant educational value. In a context where artificial intelligence is transforming languages, relationships, and modes of access to knowledge, it is considered essential to actively take part in these processes in order to understand their dynamics, opportunities, and risks. This approach makes it possible to develop a more conscious vision and to design inclusive, ethical solutions geared toward social impact. The entire research process is documented in a dedicated paper.
The insights that emerged from the dialogue with the cultural sector also led to a reworking of the project, oriented toward greater accessibility and flexibility. Luce has therefore also been developed as a digital platform, available directly through the Foundation’s website.
In its current version, Luce takes shape as a space for emotional exploration, with a particular focus on the experience of wonder. Users can interact with artificial intelligence to reflect on their own emotions and generate a personalized image as the outcome of the conversational journey.
The project aims to continue evolving as a laboratory for experimentation, contributing to the construction of a more mindful, human, and creative relationship between people and technology.
