РАЗОМ!ВМЕСТЕ!INSIEME!

In June 2022 we have chosen to create, for families who have just arrived from Ukraine and other refugee families, a welcoming space in which to participate in workshop activities and meetings in order to encourage the creation of social networks of help and support and provide initial orientation on the territory of the Canton Ticino.

The project saw the participation of around 60 people, including newly arrived families, professionals and volunteers, through two simultaneous actions:

workshops for children and teens aged 3 to 18, designed with the aim of allowing participants to experiment with various artistic materials in a welcoming context, free from judgment and evaluation and to share experience with peers, supported by experts in the artistic field and cultural mediators;

moments of meeting and orientation on the territory for the adults present, facilitated by the presence of an interpreter and a psychologist, where issues such as work, the school system and the health system were addressed. Some laboratory activities were also proposed to adults, to facilitate networking between parents and to receive support on a more psycho-emotional level.

The project ended in July 2022, but it allowed the creation of profitable relationships with realities in the Ticino area, for any future developments of the initiative.
